Hi Everyone!
So today we're going to learn how to import clips into your FCP project, set in and out points in the viewer, drag the clips into the time line, and then cut them up with the blade tool. Exciting!
First things first...please download the practice clip from the link here...(unless you have video footage that you would like to use already!)
After you are finished downloading, check out the video below (it's one take, so please be kind!) to see how to import and start editing!
Here are some shortcuts that I use in the video:
apple_I --> Import a file to the browser
apple_+ --> zoom in
apple_- --> zoom out
I --> set the "in" point
O --> set the "out" point
A --> arrow (select) tool
B --> blade tool
shift&delete --> delete and move clips
space --> play/stop
Have fun and post questions if you have them!
See you soon!
Skye

Hey Skye. The video looks great but many of the students are not able to get into the blog. They are getting that error message I got last week. Any ideas on how to get around that?
Also, here is the email addresses for Umer and Sunny:
sunny.chaudry@yahoo.com
bcsinthehood@hotmail.com
they didn't get the invite.
I have a feeling that this is related to a DOE firewall. Can they try accessing the blog from home? Also, they should be able to post comments if they need to ask questions. I'll try a couple of things and get back to you.
