Here's the (revised) video about importing clips, in/out points, and simple editing in FCP:
Here are some shortcuts that I use in the video:
apple_I --> Import a file to the browser
apple_+ --> zoom in
apple_- --> zoom out
I --> set the "in" point
O --> set the "out" point
A --> arrow (select) tool
B --> blade tool
shift&delete --> delete and move clips
space --> play/stop

Hi Skye,
Just to let you know we downloaded the clip to cut (took longer than we expected) and just started to practice editing. We should continue that editing on Thursday with some discussion on starting our projects. The groups were given a list of potential videos. The video was very helpful.
That's great! I'll do a short review tomorrow, and maybe have a couple students show what they learned? Then we can have them work in groups for the rest of the session?
Sounds good. We may need you to help Andrew out some with the 12th graders who will be getting started editing their projects. I think most of them have footage and are anxious to start working on it. So we can go with the flow.
